Job summary

Michigan Medicine in Ann Arbor is seeking a Transportation staff member to assist with patient transfers, transport to appointments and Morgue transfers as needed. You will greet patients, verify identities, and work with nursing staff to ensure smooth and safe transport.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required; ability to perform physical tasks and read/write English is essential. Regular hours and comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform a wide range of physical activities, including pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, reaching, etc.
• Must be able to read and write English.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to appointments using stretcher or wheelchair and greet patient and staff accompanying the chart.
• Assist with physical transfer onto the transport vehicle and ensure patient safety; transport to designated locations, including Morgue when needed.
