Qualifications

• Six (6) months related experience.
• Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association.
• Ability to lift patients onto gurneys and into wheelchairs.
• Read and comprehend instructions written in English.
• Use courtesy and tact with patients, visitors, and hospital staff.
• Calm and reassure distressed patients.
• Perform basic clerical functions; maintain patient confidentiality.
• Follow established protocols.
• Work effectively under multiple priorities with high accuracy.
• Knowledge of filing systems and proper body mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Transport inpatients and outpatients between departments and to discharge.
• Greet, assist, and transfer patients while verifying identification.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and report equipment malfunctions.
• Observe patient condition during transport and report issues to staff.
• Uphold patient safety and deliver courteous, professional service.
