Methodist Hospital is seeking a Hospital Transport Aide to join our team to provide safe, courteous, and efficient transport services within inpatient areas. You will work with staff in ancillary departments and patient care units to move patients as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to problem-solve using good communication and people skills.
• Strong verbal communication, customer relations, and listening skills are essential.
• Must be able to promote and maintain good customer relations and patient confidentiality.
• Must be trained in and demonstrate proficiency in clinical procedures, infection control practices, body mechanics and transfer training.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with a wide variety of patients including those with speech and hearing impairments.

Responsibilities

• Transporters will work with hospital staff in ancillary departments, patient care units and the rehabilitation department to provide safe, courteous, and efficient transport services to all patients within Methodist Hospital inpatient areas.
• Daily flexibility in work duties is a requirement to support the department in meeting its patient care needs.
