Saint Francis Health System is seeking a Patient Transporter to greet patients and support hospital departments by transporting patients, supplies, and equipment throughout the campus. The role emphasizes safety, infection control, and high-quality patient service in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities include assisting with patient transfers, keeping dispatch informed, and participating in required in-services and cross-training to support department needs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of in-services and ability to retain material.
• Exceptional customer service with professional, friendly interaction.
• Strong oral, written and interpersonal skills; read and understand instructions and safety signage.

Responsabilités

• Transport patients to and from designated areas; communicate delays or concerns to dispatch.
• Transport equipment, supplies, and materials following safety procedures.
• Greet patients courteously and assist in lifting/transferring to beds, chairs, stretchers, or vehicles.
• Answer general questions and provide directions to visitors.
• Clean transport equipment and report malfunctions to supervisor.
• Report unusual transport-related observations to dispatcher for safety review.
• Adhere to body substance isolation, infection control and hazardous material standards; CPR recertification as needed.
• Attend in-services and cross-train to support department needs.
• Assist with training new team members as needed.
