Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a dedicated transporter to move patients, equipment, and documents across patient care areas in a timely, safe manner.

You will assist with patient transfers, ensure equipment is safe and accessible, and collaborate with the healthcare team to support operations. A High School Diploma or GED is required, and prior transporter experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency required.
• Experience as transporter preferred.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects and/or patients.
• Must be flexible and self-directed.
• Effective interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients safely to/from units and designated areas.
• Assist with movement of patients from chair/bed to bed/stretcher.
• Maintain supplies and equipment; ensure transport equipment is safe and accessible.
• Communicate effectively with other health care team members.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
