Job summary

Mercy is seeking a dedicated driver to operate a patient transport van, ensuring safe transfer of non-ambulatory and ambulatory patients in accordance with established guidelines. Responsibilities include daily van inspections, patient loading/unloading, and maintaining a clean, fueled vehicle.

Preferred candidates hold a High School Diploma or GED and have 1+ year of passenger-transport experience. Mercy emphasizes exceptional customer service and alignment with its mission and service

Qualifications

Current valid driver's license (Class E or equivalent)
Experience in patient transfer and ambulation assistance preferred
Good communication and customer service skills
Ability to operate transport van safely and maintain cleanliness

Responsibilities

Operate Mercy patient transport van following established guidelines.
Safely transfer non-ambulatory and ambulatory patients to and from the van.
Maintain vehicle cleanliness and fuel levels; report defects promptly.
Provide exceptional customer service in line with Mercy values.
