Job summary

Memorial Hospital West in Pembroke Pines, FL seeks a dedicated Patient Transporter to move patients and equipment safely throughout the facility. You will greet visitors, deliver supplies, and assist with transfers, lift assists, and morgue transport.

No prior experience required; entry into a fast-paced hospital setting is expected. Required education includes a High School Diploma or equivalent and BLS certification with a 30-day completion window.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• BLS American Heart E-Card certification required; within 30 days of hire (BLS/AHA).
• BLS Cert American Heart non ecard (AHA) - required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients to designated sites by wheelchair, stretcher, bed or neuro chair, including patients with oxygen tanks, IV pumps, drips, monitors and other equipment.
• Greets and provides information and directions to patients and visitors.
• Delivers equipment to requesting staff or departments.
• Assists staff with removal of deceased bodies from units and transport to morgue.
• Assists staff with lift assists and repositioning of patients as needed.
• Aids patients entering/exiting vehicles, including transfers from/to wheelchairs or stretchers.
