Jefferson Health in the Philadelphia region seeks a Patient Transport Associate to move patients to and from inpatient rooms, clinical testing areas and procedural suites, using wheelchairs or stretchers as directed by clinical staff.

You will observe patients for changes, verify transport tasks with nursing staff, ensure stretcher and wheelchair cleanliness, and report any equipment issues or deterioration in condition promptly.

Qualificações

• Follows safety policies for lifting, moving and transporting patients.
• Transports non-monitored or stable patients as directed.
• Identifies patients prior to transport and reports changes to nursing staff.
• Maintains cleanliness of wheelchairs, stretchers and equipment.

Responsabilidades

• Transports patients by wheelchair or stretcher to clinical areas for treatment or tests.
• Observes patients for adverse changes during transport and notifies RN promptly.
• Ensures equipment is assembled, cleaned, maintained and delivered properly.
• Assists with patient positioning and transfers as needed.
• Keeps work area clean and reports damaged equipment immediately.
