Job summary

Care New England is seeking a patient transport role to move patients by wheelchair, stretcher or bed, assist clinical staff, and help ensure safety and efficiency on the unit. The incumbent will also deliver specimens, x-rays, reports, and supplies, supporting nursing units as needed.

In this role, you will maintain clean transport areas, assist with patient transfers during discharge, and participate in training while adhering to hospital policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Experience with patient transport is a plus.
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients by wheelchair, stretcher or bed within the hospital.
• Deliver laboratory specimens, x-rays, reports and other items to support nursing units.
• Maintain a neat, orderly and safe transport area and report equipment needs.
