Job summary

Care New England Health System is seeking personnel to provide non-nursing patient support services, including transporting patients, laboratory specimens, and equipment, Morgue runs, and errands while maintaining a safe environment for all patients.

Responsibilities include assisting nursing staff with transfers, delivering items to nursing units, moving equipment, and supporting training of new employees in hospital procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in patient transport is a plus.
• Ability to follow hospital policies and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients by wheelchair, stretcher or bed within the hospital.
• Assist nursing and clinical staff with patient transfers.
• Deliver specimens, reports, and other items to support nursing units.
• Move and position equipment safely; maintain clean, stocked areas.
• Assist in training new staff and adherence to hospital policies.
