Job summary

Northlake Behavioral Health System in Mandeville, LA seeks a Patient Transportation Driver to safely move patients between hospitals, clinics and residences, ensuring a calm and respectful experience for those in our care.

Responsibilities include completing vehicle inspections, maintaining cleanliness, following safety procedures, and participating in trainings to support the care team. This PRN/As Needed role aligns with 8:00 AM–4:30 PM shifts and rotating weekends with on-call duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous transportation or healthcare experience preferred.
• Minimum age of 25 years old for insurance purposes.
• Current valid Driver’s License issued by Louisiana or Mississippi based on state of residence.
• Clean DMV driving record required.
• Must complete Defensive Driving Course, vehicle orientation, and vehicle skills checklist.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients to approved destinations.
• Provide compassionate and professional interactions with patients and staff.
• Follow all safety procedures, defensive driving practices, and traffic laws.
• Complete required documentation and vehicle inspections.
