Job summary

Brentwood Behavioral Healthcare is seeking a dynamic Driver PRN to transport patients to and from the facility, providing continuous observation and modeling. You will work closely with activity therapists, social workers, and nurses to support groups and ensure the daily patient program runs smoothly.

Responsibilities include assisting staff nurses, maintaining safety, and engaging with patients in a therapeutic manner while upholding professional boundaries throughout the treatment day.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent. Maintain a valid class specific driver’s license applicable to transporting patients.
• BLS and De-escalation Certification required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mental Health related field and two years of experience in the mental health field (psychiatric/inpatient or outpatient setting).

Responsibilities

• The Driver provides patient transportation to and from the facility providing continuous observation, interaction, and role modeling to the patients while always maintaining safety.
• Works closely with all other clinical staff to conduct various process and specialty groups within the patient program and ensure the schedule is carried out.
• Performs various duties assisting staff nurses in the psychiatric and physical treatment and care of patients in accordance with established methods and procedures.
• Interacts with patients in a therapeutic manner at all times and helps maintain appropriate boundaries.
