Job summary

Northlake Behavioral Health System is seeking a Patient Transportation Driver to safely move patients to hospitals, appointments, and other approved locations. The role emphasizes calming, respectful interactions and adherence to safety and infection control standards.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record. Training includes defensive driving and vehicle orientation. This is a PRN/As Needed role with on-call weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous transportation or healthcare experience preferred.
• Minimum age of 25 years old for insurance purposes.
• Current valid Driver’s License issued by Louisiana or Mississippi based on state of residence.
• Clean DMV driving record required.
• Must successfully complete company-provided Defensive Driving Course, vehicle orientation, and vehicle skills checklist.
• Ability to work professionally and compassionately with individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
