Job summary

PruittHealth in Ridgeway, SC is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist with food preparation under the guidance of the Dietary Manager. You will follow diet orders, help prepare meals, and deliver trays to patients.

You will follow safety, sanitation, and infection control policies, maintain kitchen equipment, and participate in trainings and in-services. This role supports compassionate patient care and requires dependable, warm communication.

Qualifications

• Follows diet orders and NPO diet orders.
• Assists cook in preparing meals, desserts and snacks for patients/residents.
• Uses proper food handling processes, procedures and policies.
• Delivers trays to patients/residents on halls.
• Delivers and serves meals to patients/residents in dining area.
• Records temperatures and checks stock as needed.
• Complies with infection control policies in the work area.

Responsibilities

• Assists cook in preparing meals, desserts and snacks for patients/residents.
• Delivers trays to patients/residents on halls and serves meals.
• Prepares between-meal nourishments and records substitutions.
• Sets up tray line and performs tray line service.
• Cleans tables and maintains clean work areas after meals.
• Follows safety, sanitation and recipe standards.
