Job summary

PruittHealth is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide HCC to assist with meal preparation and tray delivery for patients. The role involves following established food handling and sanitation procedures, delivering meals, and assisting with kitchen cleaning and equipment maintenance.

Applicants should have basic literacy and be able to communicate effectively with patients and staff. On-the-job training is provided, and Florida-specific guidelines apply.

Qualifications

• Sufficient education to demonstrate functional literacy.
• No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Previous food service and/or food preparation experience preferred for Florida postings.

Responsibilities

• Assists cook in preparing meals, desserts and snacks for patients/residents.
• Delivers trays to patients/residents and serves meals.
• Cleans dining and kitchen areas and maintains equipment.
• Records temperatures and ensures proper food handling and storage.
• Follows infection control and safety policies in daily tasks.
