Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support RN/LPN staff in delivering patient-centered care in our Indiana facility. The role involves assisting with activities of daily living, maintaining safety, and documenting vital signs and observations.

The ideal candidate has 0-2 years in acute care or is enrolled in a nursing program, with BCLS within 90 days and CNA or CPCT preferred. You will work under supervision and contribute to infection control and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in an acute care setting or currently enrolled in a Nursing program preferred.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire required
• CNA or CPCT certification preferred or actively pursuing

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff in delivering care and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
• Record vital signs, intake/output, and other data; report to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Support patients with meals, grooming, bathing, and mobility aids.
• Assist with patient positioning and ambulation using mobility devices.
• Collect samples and monitor glucose as directed and report results.
• Communicate patient information effectively to the care team.
• Maintain infection control practices and proper PPE usage.
• Participate in performance improvement and risk management activities.
• Maintain regular attendance and comply with policies.
