Job summary

Northwest Health in Indiana is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care under the supervision of an RN or LPN. The PCT will assist with activities of daily living, collect data, monitor vital signs, and help with mobility and safety while maintaining a clean and organized care environment.

This role requires 0-2 years in acute care or current nursing enrollment; BCLS within 90 days; CNA or CPCT preferred.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in an acute care setting or current nursing student.
• BCLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• CPCT or CNA certification preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with delegated basic patient care services.
• Record vital signs and intake/output and report to RN/LPN.
• Support patients with meals, grooming, and elimination.
• Maintain infection control and PPE protocols.
• Document and communicate patient information to the care team.
• Participate in performance improvement and risk management.
• Maintain regular attendance and comply with policies.
