Job summary

Holy Name Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support nursing staff and provide essential patient care in a 361-bed acute care setting. You will report observations to the RN and perform duties under direct supervision to ensure safety and comfort for diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities include taking vitals, assisting with hygiene and meals, collecting specimens, performing basic treatments, CPR, and aiding in patient transport and care coordination.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of relevant or related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care procedures under RN supervision; reports observations.
• Takes vital signs and tracks Intake/Output as assigned.
• Assists with personal hygiene and activities of daily living.
• Assists with meals and hydration for patients.
• Collects routine specimens (urine, sputum, feces).
• Performs Treatments and assists with monitoring devices as directed by RN.
• Performs CPR.
• Assists with patient transport and positioning.
• Cleans and organizes bedside areas and equipment.
