Job summary

HCA Florida North Florida Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join a collaborative nursing team. The role supports Registered Nurses with hands-on care, assists with vital signs, mobility, and personal care, and helps maintain a safe, welcoming environment for patients.

You will contribute to care plans, monitor patient conditions, and help ensure comfort and dignity for each patient we serve, while promoting teamwork and safety across the unit.

Qualifications

• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality
