Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck, NJ is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support nurses with basic patient care, vital signs, and daily living activities. Under RN supervision, you will report observations and help ensure comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of relevant or related experience preferred.
• CPR certification required at hire.
• BCLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care procedures as delegated under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. Reports pertinent observations to the RN.
• Takes patient's vital signs and maintains intake/output.
• Assists with personal hygiene care and meals; supports comfort and mobility.
• Obtains routine specimens (urine, sputum, etc.).
• Assists with post-mortem care and patient transport as needed.
• Performs CPR and helps with monitoring leads as directed by RN.
• Cleans and organizes bedside units and equipment; reports needs to RN.
