Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Patient Care Technician to assist under the direction of an RN or LPN in delivering individualized patient care and supporting a collaborative healthcare team. The role involves performing designated clinical procedures and non-clinical tasks essential to patient care.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED (CNA/CPCT or healthcare program enrollment preferred). BLS is required within one month of hire, and PCT competencies must be completed within 3 months.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required.
• BLS certification within one month of hire; PCT competencies within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform designated clinical procedures and non-clinical tasks essential to patient care.
• Maintain safety and physical requirements, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing/walking for long shifts.
