Virtua Medical Group seeks a Patient Care Technician to support patients with daily activities, monitor vital signs, and help the healthcare team with routine tasks. The role may involve phlebotomy and EKGs where certified, and requires strong communication skills along with relevant training.

The incumbent will contribute to patient satisfaction and participate in orientation of new staff. Position is on-site with full-time hours, offering competitive benefits and opportunities for growth

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and ability to support patients and families.
• Completion of a PCT/CNA program or RN fundamentals course is required.
• BLs certification helpful and required for certain departments.

Responsabilités

• Assist with activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, mobility.
• Perform vital signs, point-of-care testing, bladder scanning, and Foley catheter care.
• May perform phlebotomy and EKGs if certified.
• Notify RN/LPN of changes in patient status and document appropriately.
• Support patient satisfaction initiatives and participate in quality improvement.
• Assist in orientation of new hires.
