Job summary

Mercy Health seeks a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for the Nurse Float Pool at West Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. The role supports registered nurses and other healthcare staff by providing basic patient care, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with daily living activities.

Qualifications

• BLS Basic Life Support preferred and must be obtained prior to direct patient care.
• Recent experience in acute care, physician’s office, home health/hospice, or long-term care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic patient care including comfort, vital signs, personal care and hygiene, and mobility assistance.
• Acts as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes/concerns.
• Maintains accurate, timely documentation of patient care.
• Participates in hand-off/report of pertinent information on arrival and departure.
