Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for the Nursing Float Pool at St. Francis Downtown. The role supports nurses with patient care, vital signs and basic needs, while promoting comfort and safety in a dynamic hospital setting.

Ideal candidates have recent acute care experience, are familiar with EPIC EHR, and can obtain Basic Life Support before direct patient care. Join a faith-based organization dedicated to compassionate care.

Qualifications

• BLS Basic Life Support preferred, must obtain before direct patient care.
• Recent experience in acute care preferred.
• EPIC EHR training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic patient care including comfort, vital signs, personal care, and mobility assistance.
• Liaises between patient and nurse to report changes and/or concerns.
• Delivers high-level customer service to patients, families, visitors, and staff.
• Documents patient care timely and accurately in the EHR.
• Participates in hand-off/report of patient needs on arrival and departure.
• Performs delegated tasks after competency validation.
• Assists with safe patient transfers using therapeutic techniques.
• Encourages patient independence in activities.
