Job summary

Beverly Hospital, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide basic patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will assist with personal needs, safety, and comfort, and support the patient care team by performing trained technical tasks and administrative duties.

Responsibilities include vital signs, height/weight, oxygen saturation, specimen collection, and feeding assistance, with a focus on compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
• Willingness to obtain BLS training within 90 days.
• Desire to help people and pursue healthcare goals.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and record measurements.
• Provide personal care and assist with daily activities.
• Assist with mobility and safety under RN supervision.
• Report unusual observations to the nurse promptly.
• Assist with meals, room service, and feeding when needed.
• Perform basic clinical procedures as trained.
