The Patient Care Technician (PCT) at MUSC reports to the Nurse Manager and works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse to support patient-centered care. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of patient care experience preferred.
• BLS certification required upon hire and maintained.

Responsabilités

• Keep patient rooms tidy and sanitized.
• Assist patients with personal hygiene and daily needs.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes.
• Assist nursing staff with basic treatments.
• Ensure rooms have adequate supplies and clean linen.
• Assist patients with specific needs and provide emotional support.
• Place patient on cardiac monitor.
• Perform blood glucose checks.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by department leader.
