Job summary

Los Robles Regional Medical Center seeks a Patient Care Technician for its float pool, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care under RN supervision. You will assist the nursing staff with daily living activities and patient care, contributing to a clean, safe environment and excellent patient interactions.

The role requires a High School diploma, ability to interpret medical terminology, 1+ years in acute care preferred, BLS, and a mandated CNA license.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical terminology.
• 1+ years of experience in acute care preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• CNA license as mandated by state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of the RN, assist nursing staff with patient care per the PCT's training and department needs.
• Maintain a clean, well-organized, and safe patient care environment.
• Promote positive patient interactions and unparalleled patient service.
• Demonstrate caring and empathy in all interactions and advocate for patient- and family-centered care.
• Exhibit strong communication, including active listening, ensuring clear understanding among patients, physicians, and colleagues.
• Participate in evidence-based practices to enhance patient experience (SAFETY rounding, AIDET, Teach-Back, Narrating Care).
• Be an active, collaborative member of the health care team.
