Job summary

Prisma Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support the Facility Resource Pool at Richland Hospital. The role requires floating to different units and performing basic nursing assistant duties under supervision.

The ideal candidate has completion of a nursing assistant or related program and at least 1 year of experience; arrhythmia training and certification may be required for monitor tech responsibilities. This is a PRN, day-shift position based in Richland.

Qualifications

Education - nursing assistant certificate or equivalent preferred.
Experience - 1 year of experience in a related role preferred.
Previous experience as nursing assistant, PCT, MA, EMT, Paramedic, Surgical Tech, Phlebotomist, Medical Corpsman or nursing student is preferred.
Monitor tech responsibilities require arrhythmia training class and exam with a passing score within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care within scope of practice as directed by licensed staff.
Assist patients with activities of daily living and mobility.
Document data in EMR and report changes to the RN.
Assist with admissions, rounds, and transport to diagnostics.
Maintain safety, infection control, and comfort measures for patients.
