Job summary

Los Robles Regional Medical Center in Thousand Oaks, CA, seeks a Float Pool Nurse to deliver direct patient care within the nursing process, under physician orders and hospital policies. You will ensure safe, competent care and participate in quality initiatives while floating between Med Surg and Critical Care as needed.

The role requires a CA RN license, BLS and ACLS, NIHSS stroke certification, and at least one year of acute care/ICU experience, with BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license issued by the California Board of Nursing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• NIHSS Stroke certification required.
• EKG exam with a minimum score of 80% required.
• Minimum of one year acute care RN experience.
• ICU-level nursing experience required.
• Ability to float across Med Surg to Critical Care units.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with the CA Nurse Practice Act.
• Deliver safe, competent care and delegate as appropriate.
• Engage in performance improvement and quality initiatives.
