Job summary

Mission Health's Transylvania Regional Hospital in Brevard, NC is seeking a compassionate Patient Care Technician (PCT) / Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join the float pool. You will assist RNs with hands-on care, monitor patient conditions, and help create a safe, welcoming environment for patients.

You will support daily needs, including vital signs, mobility, and personal care, while maintaining teamwork and empathy to restore comfort and dignity for every patient served.

Qualifications

• CNA certification required.
• BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training or willingness to obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support care and recovery.
• Provide non-medicated care such as dressing changes and skin protection.
• Maintain clean, organized, and stocked patient areas and common spaces for safety and efficiency.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
