Job summary

Northwest Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support patient care under the supervision of an RN or LPN in an acute care setting. You will assist with daily living activities, vital signs, and ensuring a safe, patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities include data collection, meal support, hygiene, mobility assistance, and accurate documentation. CNA/CPCT preferred; BCLS required within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in an acute care setting or current nursing student preferred.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire required.
• CNA or CPCT certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with delegated basic patient care services and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Collect and record patient data, including vital signs, height, weight, and intake/output.
• Support patients with meals, bathing, oral care, grooming, and activities of daily living.
• Assist with patient positioning, mobility, and use of walkers or wheelchairs.
• Collect urine/stool samples and monitor blood glucose as directed.
• Communicate patient information to the care team and maintain professionalism.
• Adhere to infection control practices and PPE usage; participate in safety initiatives.
• Possibly maintain continuous visual observation of high-risk patients as required.
