Job summary

CHS is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care under RN/LPN supervision. The role includes assisting with activities of daily living, data collection, and maintaining a safe care environment.

The PCT will support meals, hygiene, mobility, and documentation, while upholding infection control standards and effective communication within the care team. CNA/CPCT or nursing program enrollment is preferred.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in an acute care setting or currently enrolled in a Nursing program preferred.
• BCLS (Basic Life Support) within 90 days of hire required.
• CNA or CPCT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff in delivering care and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Record and report vital signs and patient data to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Assist with meals, bathing, grooming, and mobility support.
• Help with positioning, transfers, and use of mobility aids as needed.
• Follow infection control procedures and PPE usage; participate in safety initiatives.
