Virginia Commonwealth University Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide direct, age-specific care under the supervision of an RN or licensed practitioner. You will monitor patients, assist with daily living activities, and help maintain a safe, clean unit environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with CNA licensure or AHA BLS HCP certification preferred; prior healthcare experience is beneficial. Position is full‑time, on-site in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent required as per job posting.
• CNA licensure or certification preferred to apply.
• AHA BLS Healthcare Provider certification or equivalent required.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct, age-appropriate care under RN/practitioner guidance.
• Monitor patient conditions and report to health care team.
• Maintain safe, clean, stocked environment on unit.
• Record patient information including vitals and intake/output.
• Assist with feeding, mobility and daily living activities.
• Participate in in-services and infection control practices.
