Job summary

Qualifications

• Required Education: High School Degree or equivalent.
• Preferred Education: Certified Nursing Assistant.
• Licensure/Certification Required: AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent.
• Minimum Qualifications: Certification/Completion of one of the following: CNA, Medical Assistant, EMT, Military Corpsman/Medic, Nursing Aide Training Program; Experience in a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and direct care to patients with age-appropriate adjustments and report changes to the health care team.
• Deliver direct and indirect care to meet comfort, personal hygiene and safety needs.
• Follow nursing and medical plans of care and hospital policies.
• Maintain a safe, clean, stocked unit environment.
• Assist with specimen collection and vital signs recording.
• Attend mandatory trainings and comply with online requirements.
• Ensure patient safety and participate in safety initiatives.
• Establish rapport with patients, visitors and staff.
