Job summary

UPMC is seeking a Patient Care Technician (CNA) to provide routine patient care including activities of daily living, vital signs, intake and output, and basic nursing support under the supervision of the nurse or physician.

Responsibilities include advanced skills as department needs require, such as phlebotomy, 12-lead EKGs, telemetry monitoring, bladder scanning, and specimen collection, while adhering to safety and privacy policies.

Qualifications

• Must be a certified CNA with active license.
• Experience with ADLs and basic patient care.
• Ability to perform point-of-care testing and basic vital sign monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with ADLs and daily routines.
• Record vital signs, intake and output, and assist with procedures.
• Support telemetry monitoring and reporting changes to RN.
