Job summary

Shirley Ryan AbilityLab is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide basic daily care to patients, assist with hygiene and daily living activities, and support clinical staff in a fast-paced rehabilitation environment. High school diploma or equivalent and CNA certification or current enrollment in a nursing program are required.

You will document care activities, monitor patient condition, and help maintain safe, clean care areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA Certification or current enrollment in an accredited nursing program required.
• Completes Patient Care Technician orientation.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic daily care to patients and support of significant others.
• Assist patients with hygiene and activities of daily living.
• Maintain clean and orderly patient care areas.
• Record routine data and report changes to the nurse.
• Assist in transferring patients and equipment as needed.
