Job summary

Intermountain Health LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City is seeking a Patient Care Technician for part-time, variable shifts. The role supports the patient care team by delivering basic care and assisting with unit operations in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Responsibilities include monitoring patient needs, communicating changes to nursing staff, and performing select health unit coordination tasks as required. Prior CNA and BLS are preferred, with strong teamwork and computer literacy a must.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in Utah or applicable state.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• Demonstrated basic computer literacy and medical data entry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver basic patient care tasks (toileting, bathing, hygiene, comfort) with empathy.
• Report patient data and changes in condition promptly to the RN.
• Support telemetry on units as required and assist the care team.
• Transport medications to the RN and assist with unit operations as needed.
• Collaborate with the RN and team to ensure quality patient care.
• May perform Health Unit Coordinator duties (phones, orders, records).
