Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. in Granbury, TX is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support nursing staff by delivering delegated basic patient care, maintaining a safe, clean environment, and communicating clearly with the care team.

You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, help with meals and mobility, collect specimens, and participate in QA and safety initiatives while complying with PPE and confidentiality requirements.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in an acute care setting or currently enrolled in a Nursing program preferred
• Basic knowledge of patient care practices and equipment
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work collaboratively with a team

Responsibilities

• Assists nursing staff in delivering care, ensuring a clean, safe, and organized environment
• Collects and records patient data, including vital signs and intake/output, reporting findings to RN/LPN
• Supports patients with meals, bathing, grooming, mobility, and elimination assistance
• Assists with patient positioning, ambulation, and use of mobility aids
• Collects samples and monitors glucose as directed, documenting results
• Maintains effective communication within the care team and adheres to safety protocols
• Maintains infection control standards and proper PPE usage
• Participates in performance improvement initiatives and risk management
