Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide patient-centered care under direct supervision of an RN or LPN in a Texas facility. The role includes assisting with daily living activities, documenting vital signs, and maintaining a safe, organized care environment.

The PCT will support mobility, meals, hygiene, and catheter care as needed, while communicating effectively with the care team and adhering to infection control and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of acute care experience or current nursing program enrollment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff in patient care and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Record vital signs and other patient data and report to RN/LPN.
• Support patients with meals, bathing, grooming, and elimination assistance.
• Assist with patient positioning and mobility aids.
• Collect samples and monitor blood glucose as needed.
• Communicate patient information to the care team effectively.
• Maintain infection control and PPE protocols.
• Participate in performance improvement and safety reporting.
• Maintain regular attendance and comply with policies.
