Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a patient-care associate to assist the professional staff with indirect and direct care. The role includes phlebotomy, glucometer testing and EKG responsibilities, along with clerical duties and supply management under RN direction.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma, EMT or related clinical training, and BLS certification. Strong English communication and flexibility are required.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: EMT/EMT Academy or military medic or PCA in acute care/long-term care, or two clinical nursing semesters.
• Credentials: AHA BLS. Non-Licensed must obtain Stroke CE hours within orientation period.

Responsibilities

• Assists professional staff in delivering patient care.
• Performs phlebotomy, glucometer testing and EKGs as required.
• Records observations accurately in patient records and reports to RN or physician.
• Maintains safety and infection control practices.
• Reports equipment malfunctions promptly.
• Provides basic patient care under RN direction.
