Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a Patient Care Technician II for our Medical Surgical Unit at Northeast Hospital in Texas. The role includes direct patient care, assistance with ADLs, and vital signs monitoring, under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

Candidates should have one year of acute care experience and preferably an active Texas CNA certification. Must adhere to safety and documentation standards.

Qualifications

• One year of prior patient care experience required, preferably in an acute care setting.
• Proficiency in core competencies for PCT I and II as validated by Clinical Education.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Record vital signs pre/post treatment and report changes to the nurse.
• Assist with activities of daily living and hygiene support as needed.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment and follow safety procedures.
• Prepare and obtain laboratory specimens as prescribed within scope of role.
• Assist in orienting new employees and supporting department-based goals.
