Qualifications

• One (1) year of prior patient care experience in an acute care setting or similar role.
• BLS certification must be current or obtained within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Perform ADL support, vital signs, hygiene, mobility, nutrition, and safety tasks.
• Document accurately and timely in the patient record.
• Escalate changes in patient condition to nursing staff.
• Maintain a clean and safe patient care environment.
• Assist with specimen collection as prescribed.
• Mentor new staff as appropriate.
• Uphold Memorial Hermann policies and quality and safety standards.
