Vassar Brothers Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician to assist in patient care under the supervision of registered nurses. You will help with admissions, transfers, discharges, transports, and monitor vital signs while maintaining safety and infection control practices.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and a current AHA BLS certification within 90 days of hire; junior nursing students or recent PCTs are encouraged to apply.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED.
• BLS certification (AHA BLS healthcare provider) within 90 days of hire.
• Experience as a PCT or current junior nursing student preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in delivery of patient care under RN direction.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges and transport of patients.
• Record vital signs and report abnormalities to the RN.
• Maintain infection control practices and safety policies.
• Communicate with health care team and document appropriately.
• Provide care to patients and families and participate in rounding and shift handoffs.
