Job summary

Memorial Health System in Marietta, OH is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support nursing staff, handle order entry in Meditech, and help coordinate patient flow across units. This flex-time, 12-hour day shift role emphasizes confidentiality and teamwork within a quality-improvement environment.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, Ohio STNA within 6 months, and BLS certification (obtained during orientation). RQI compliance is also required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ohio STNA certification must be completed within 6 months of hire.
• BLS certification required and obtained during orientation.
• Maintains compliance with RQI requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs hourly rounding.
• Maintains chart order, answers telephones, and enters physician orders in Meditech.
• Coordinates patient flow with the charge nurse to keep departments informed.
• Assists with patient care and non-patient care tasks per RN/LPN guidance.
• Assists with patient/family teaching as appropriate.
• Maintains supplies and equipment.
• Enters daily outpatient and observation room charges.
• Complies with safety and infection control standards.
• Fosters effective communication among team members and with patients.
