Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a dedicated Nurse Assistant in the Acute Rehab Unit to support daily patient care under RN supervision. You will help with activities of daily living, maintain a safe environment, and follow HIPAA and OSHA guidelines in a patient-centered setting.

The role emphasizes compassionate patient and family interaction, adherence to unit competencies, and culturally sensitive care. Prior clinical nursing rotation experience is valued, with a 7:00am–7:30pm shift and 72 bi-weekly

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire (AHA/ARC or Canadian equivalent).
• CENA training preferred or required where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Performs specific patient care interventions as delegated by the RN to meet treatment goals.
• Delivers compassionate support to patients and families.
• Assists with daily activities and personal hygiene (bathing, feeding, dressing, mobility).
• Maintains safe, clean environment and adheres to infection-control policies (HIPAA/OSHA).
• Supports overall unit operations and follows established policies and protocols.
• Performs other related duties as requested.
