Job summary

UPMC is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join the patient care team. You will provide bedside care and assist patients with activities of daily living under RN direction, supporting a safe and comfortable hospital environment.

As a team player, you will document vital signs and coordinate with nurses and physicians to ensure compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced unit.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Ability to assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and mobility.
• Reliable documentation and reporting of patient data.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and assist with ADLs, mobility, hygiene, nutrition, and comfort.
• Monitor vital signs and telemetry, document results promptly for RN review.
• Assist with treatments, specimen collection, transport, and clinical tasks.
• Support fall prevention, infection control, and patient safety.
• Collaborate with nurses and physicians to ensure compassionate, accurate care.
