Job summary

North Knoxville Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care under RN/LPN supervision. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor patient data, and support infection control and safety protocols in a busy acute care setting.

The role involves assisting with meals, hygiene, mobility, and reporting findings to the care team. Part-time, day shift, with on-site work in Powell, TN.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in an acute care setting or currently enrolled in a Nursing program preferred
• Basic knowledge of patient care practices and equipment
• Commitment to patient confidentiality and safety protocols
• BCLS within 90 days of hire required
• CNA or CPCT preferred or
• CPCT preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with delegated basic patient care services and maintain a safe, clean environment
• Collect and record vital signs and patient data, report findings to RN/LPN/LVN
• Support meals, hygiene, mobility, and personal care
• Assist with patient positioning, mobility aids, and transfers
• Collect samples and monitor blood glucose per protocol
• Communicate patient information clearly to the care team and adhere to PPE and infection control
