MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center, part of Trinity Health, seeks a full-time care teammate for 12-hour day shifts. The role includes delivering patient care under RN/LPN delegation, assisting with activities of daily living, and supporting safety and comfort through proactive rounds.

Candidates must complete required trainings (BLS, Mandatory Reporter) within stated timelines and participate in ongoing caregiving duties in a busy hospital environment.

Formación

• Performs or assists patients with activities including personal hygiene, bathing, ambulation, transporting, ROM, dressing, feeding, and elimination needs.
• Responds to patient calls and anticipates patient needs; ensures safety and comfort.

Responsabilidades

• Delivers assigned patient care and treatment as delegated by an RN or LPN.
• Calculates intake and output (excluding IVs) and measures vital signs.
• Performs bedside blood glucose testing and documents in health records as required.
• Initiates or assists with emergency support measures (e.g., CPR) and discharges patients when needed.
• Sets up equipment and supplies for procedures and prepares patients and rooms for procedures, admissions, and transfers.
