Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• ONE of the following is preferred: CNA or Health Support Professional program; 2 years in a baccalaureate program; 1 year in an Associate's Degree in Nursing program; or comparable education, training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Communicate accurate and clinically relevant information during handoffs to patients, families, and coworkers.
• Provide safe and effective patient care under supervision of the licensed nurse.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition to the licensed nurse.
• Maintain accurate, real-time documentation of patient care.
• Protect patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Respond to emergencies within scope of practice.
• Prioritize tasks and organize daily work to meet patient and department needs.
• Keep patient rooms and department areas clean and organized.
• Identify quality improvement opportunities and support changes in practice.
