Job summary

Mercy seeks a Patient Care Assistant/Unlicensed Assistive Personnel to assist in individualized patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. You will work as part of a team to perform clinical procedures and essential support tasks.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, CNA/CPTC or enrollment in a healthcare program, and BLS within one month of hire; complete PCA competencies within 3 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, CNA/CPTC or enrolled in a healthcare program
• No prior experience required
• BLS certification within 1 month of hire; PCA competencies within 3 months
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand/walk for long periods

Responsibilities

• Assist in individualized patient care under RN/LPN supervision
• Work cooperatively as part of a healthcare team
• Perform designated clinical procedures and non-clinical support tasks
